Dr Ruolin Sun has been working with The Natural Practice for the past 30 years and has an excellent clinical record of successfully treating patients with many ailments ranging from skin disorders and painful conditions through to rehabilitation after a stroke, anxiety and depression.
Dr Sun trained at the Traditional Chinese Medical University if Fujian, completing a five year full-time course. She was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine degree in 1987. She then spent a further year training at the Chinese Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing. She has practised and taught traditional Chinese medicine since then and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) and the British Fertility Society (BFS). She has medical students from the University of Southampton School of Medicine observing her work to broaden their knowledge of complementary and alternative medicines and also assists the Southampton Primary Medical Care Trust with their research into lower back pain.
Dr Sun has a special interest in gynaecology and fertility, using both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine to support fertility treatment which, used alongside IVF treatment, can increase the success rate of a pregnancy. She also sees patients presenting with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Dr Sun offers both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at The Natural Practice medical clinics in Winchester on Mondays.
